The Galveston Island Visitor Center is located in the carriage house of Ashton Villa, 2328 Broadway. The friendly and knowledgeable staff is there to help any guest discover the many treasures of Galveston Island.Looking for a history lesson or the luxury side of the Island? How about outdoor adventures or something unique like Moody Gardens or Schlitterbahn? The Visitors Center offers a plethora of Galveston information as well as restaurant and attraction coupons.
Never been to the Island and don’t know your way around? Ask for a points of interest map and take a look at the Island DVD to see the many things there are to do.
The Visitors Center staff is well trained and proficient in all things Galveston. Professional tour guide, Shirley Vanbuskirk, is an Island expert. Be sure to ask her any Galveston questions and to point out her favorite places. Being a pro guide, Shirley can also schedule a private tour for you or a group.
The recently updated Official Travel Planner of Galveston is also available at the Visitors Center. Pick one up to discover special Galveston stories, a list of all hotels, stores, restaurants and attractions, information on tours and special events, and also where to find amenities you may need during your stay.
